God Made You And Saved You To Be With Him
You Were Called To Be With Him
Mark 3:13 – 19, “And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: And Simon he surnamed Peter; And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.”
- You got saved because you didn’t want to go to Hell, Jesus saved you to be with Him.
- Now that you are saved you look forward to Heaven where you shall be forever with the Lord. Jesus looks forward to being with you today.
- We look forward to the rapture where our bodies will be changed. Jesus looks forward to being with you and changing you today.
- Being with Him is your personal time with God: your Bible reading and study and your Prayer time
There is only one reason we don’t spend time with God. Amos 3:3 “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” It is because we don’t agree with God.
Activity is not a measure of spirituality. Luke: 38-42 “Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
Revelation 2:4 “ Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”
